The Pack is made up of dens of different ranks which are based on grade level:
Kindergarten- Lion
1st Grade – Tiger
2nd Grade – Wolf
3rd Grade – Bear
4th Grade – Webelos I
5th Grade – Webelos II - Arrow of Light
Each Den meets once or twice a month to work on achievements and activities. Each den is led by a Den Leader (a fellow parent) and supported by the parents of each scout. The schedule for den meetings varies by den. All information is broadcast out to families through the Pack 772 website, which you will be enrolled into upon your registration.
The Pack is made up of all of the dens and meets as a group once a month at the Olivenhain Meeting Hall. Our meetings usually occur the second Wednesday of every month at 6:00pm. At these meetings the scouts are awarded any achievements, belt loops, and patches that they’ve earned since the previous Pack Meeting. Also, some big activities happen at Pack meetings such as the Pinewood derby, and or our Rain Gutter Regatta which is a model boat race.
In Pack 772, we are focused on having Fun With A Purpose. In Cub Scouts, fun means a lot more than having a good time. Fun is a code word for adventure, meeting challenges, feeling safe, feeling important to other people, and finding acceptance and support from friends. The ultimate objective in Cub Scouts is to teach good citizenship, develop character, and improve personal fitness in the spirit of fun.
There are fees paid directly to Boy Scouts of America (BSA), and then we have our own annual dues that help pay for various award items and other events. The dues are pro-rated for the year and the Pack treasurer, will work with you to let you know current dues. Annually it is typically $200, with a one-time BSA $25 enrollment fee.
Pack 772 supports boys largely from Encinitas and La Costa. Some of the schools our scouts attend include: OPE, Flora Vista, Park Dale Lane, La Costa Heights, Capri, Ocean Knoll and Paul Ecke. In our Pack, we feel the boys should learn new skills, practice becoming better people, and HAVE FUN!. Our Cub Scout families are actively involved in making our Pack and Dens run smoothly and providing opportunities for the boys to experience success.
Our charter is through the American Legion.
